Weekend in Montgomery (part 1)

FINALLY! I know (Mommy and Lizzie) you've been DYING to see pictures. So here we go!

First off let's start with how awesome Uncle Jack is...

1- to be the baby of four, he's AMAZING with kids and babies.
2- he's not a teenager anymore...WOW I feel old.
3- we left him on several occasions with both babies, and he didn't flinch (and neither did we, that's how much we trust him with the kiddos)

We had so much fun grilling out in Sandy Patty's (not the real Sandy Patty- but my Mom, Sandy Patty, that's her nickname) backyard. It's so peaceful back there. We hung some Christmas lights on a couple of the trees back there to make it even more festive. I love it!

Next, let's move onto the baby girls.

They are ADORABLE.

Campbell's hair is out of control, and HILARIOUS.

And she couldn't be more of a Momma's girl.

And this one...

'ol blue eyes. I walked by her propped up in the den like this. I have no idea who put the flower there, but she couldn't be more chill.

Ok...that's all for now, but I'll be back REAL soon with part 2..and possibly a part 3 :)

Showered.

To say that we had a great weekend would be an understatement. It was really wonderful being in Montgomery with the fam. I haven't uploaded all my pics yet, so I will have to post again later. But, for now I'll have to direct you to my SIL's blog and my sister's blog to see a few peaks from the shower.

Emily (my SIL) got her wonderful friend, Claire to make a few things for sweet Laney, and they are ADORABLE! I already told Claire, I plan on her outfits being the first ones I try on Laney once I get her home! :)

The shower was really great! Our family has some really wonderful friends and I felt so humbled and blessed.

That's all for now, but hopefully I will be able to pick up some internet later tonight and can post pictures.

29 weeks (baby laney update)

My baby is this big...

29-butternut-squash

According to babycenter.com she's as big as a butter nut squash, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 lbs.

Little Laney-bug is very active. She moves around all the time. I keep telling Eric I think he has a little soccer player on his hands (that makes him very happy :)).

This Thursday I start seeing my Dr. every two weeks. At my last appointment she told me that, and I looked at her and said, "Oh my gosh, are we really at that point?!" She just kinda laughed at me.

At this point, I feel really great. I have a little trouble falling asleep at night, just because it takes a while to find that perfect position to be comfortable, but once I find it I can snooze away. My back hurts a little if I've been standing too long, but that's really not unusual for me, even when I'm not pregnant.

Also, I'm heading to Montgomery this weekend for our first baby shower! I'm so excited!

Nursery update: It's almost finished!! I have one more bumper pad to do, and then I have to make the curtains. Also, I'm waiting on Eric to have a little down time to hang things on the wall. Hopefully that can happen sometime soon. I hate to drive him crazy with things like that, when he really should be studying.

All in all, we're about ready! 11 weeks to go!

If I weren't preggo...

He's Alive!

"Christ Is Risen"
Matt Maher

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!

Happy Easter!

I've been busy sewing lately. Still down 2 bumper pads, twin dust ruffle and curtains, but they're all in the works (and in some cases I'm still waiting on fabric I ordered to come in). But, in the mean time, I made her this...

blankie

It's a blanket and a burp cloth. I love the home decor fabric weight, and it makes for a sturdy side to the blanket with the other side being SO soft in minkey dot. Ugh...babies are so lucky! I want to wrap myself up in minkey dot all day (hmm..if only).

We have a busy weekend ahead! With Good Friday service at church tomorrow, Easter Egg hunt at church Saturday morning and service on Sunday! Looks like we'll be driving to Franklin a lot over the next few days.
